Akkeshi Blended Whisky – Shosetsu is a limited edition release from Akkeshi Distillery’s 24 Solar Terms series, inspired by Hokkaido’s unique climate and natural environment. Crafted using locally grown barley and matured for over three years in Mizunara oak barrels from Hokkaido, this whisky offers a distinctive combination of smoky peat, the spicy-sweet character of Mizunara wood, and refreshing citrus notes. Its complex aroma features hints of soy sauce rice crackers, honey lemon, and dried fruit, while the palate balances gentle smoke with bright acidity and a lingering finish of rose pastry and sea salt lemon. This elegant blend reflects both traditional Scottish craftsmanship and the essence of Akkeshi’s terroir.
