Lindores Abbey MCDXCIV is a Lowland single malt whisky that pays homage to the origins of Scottish whisky-making. The name “MCDXCIV” represents the Roman numeral for 1494, commemorating the historic year when John Cor, a monk at Lindores Abbey, was commissioned by King James IV to produce whisky—the earliest recorded reference to whisky production in Scotland.
