Akkeshi 24 Solar Terms Series – Sixth Edition: Daikan (Severe Cold) is inspired by the coldest and final traditional solar term. Although it’s the sixth release in the series, it captures the harsh winter of Hokkaido with rich peat smoke, vanilla, ripe red fruits, citrus, and spice. Matured in bourbon, sherry, wine, and Mizunara oak casks, this full-bodied whisky offers a well-balanced palate and a long, warm finish that reflects the resilience and depth of winter. The series releases are scheduled independently of the solar term order, with more editions to come.
