Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2024
As the name suggests, Blossom Harmony takes “flowers” as its central theme. What makes it particularly special is the inclusion of whisky aged in sakura (cherry blossom) casks, which adds a rich floral aroma. This year’s packaging design is inspired by “Tsugi”, a traditional Japanese technique of joining broken pieces of different vessels using metal—a method often seen in “Kintsugi”. This design choice reflects the Japanese spirit of cherishing and respecting objects. The label features motifs of “Paulownia, Bamboo, and Phoenix” alongside peonies, accented with glossy red and gold-stamped outlines to convey elegance and nobility.
Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2024
This year, Suntory introduces a new Story of the Distillery series, designed to help consumers better understand the distillery’s craftsmanship and history. The Yamazaki 2024 edition blends key Mizunara (Japanese oak) and sherry cask whiskies with a variety of Yamazaki malt whiskies, showcasing rich sweetness and spicy complexity with layered aromas.
Hakushu Story of the Distillery 2024
Freshly renovated in 2023, the Hakushu Distillery now carries a renewed atmosphere. The packaging features an image of the “Distillery in the Forest,” highlighting its natural surroundings. This expression blends carefully selected peaty bourbon cask whiskies, making it a signature style of Hakushu’s forest-like character.
