Auchentoshan 14 Year Old Sherry Cask Sweet and Rich Taiwan Exclusive

Retaining the sweet, fruity character of sherry cask maturation, this whisky is full of complexity and evolving layers of flavor. The distilling team adheres to a meticulous “triple-cask maturation” process using three types of oak casks. In the first stage, carefully selected single malts aged for over 14 years in both bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks are blended to form the base. In the second stage, the base whisky is further matured in Spanish Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, developing rich aromas of almonds, raisins, and dark berries, along with a sweet finish of dark chocolate, ripe figs, and toffee. Finally, the characteristics of all three types of oak casks are harmoniously integrated, resulting in delightful notes reminiscent of Taiwanese flavors such as “longan flower honey,” “honey-scented black tea,” and “winter melon with brown sugar.” This whisky is especially well-suited for slow sipping and pairing with Taiwan’s diverse and abundant cuisine.
