Nose: Sweet cure bacon, smoke, malt, sweet peat, touch of caramel. Palate: Soooo fruity! Peat doesn’t even get a look-in. Lots of malt, tart. Finish: Medium, peat emerges as the end, fruit teas. Overall: An excellent nose.
From one of India’s most famous whisky producers, this smoky single malt is made from barley peated to 24ppm. It’s punchy but still fruity and malty, with the ABV increased after its initial release to 46% to add more weight and texture.
